In this article down below, I am going to list and explain 13 things you can do for leisure, including the landmarks, tourist attractions as well as places you can visit while in Lusaka (Zambia).

Before we get into that though, we have to tackle first things first.

13 THINGS  TO DO, PLACES AND LANDMARKS TO VISIT

(1) Bungee Jumping
If you consider  yourself a daredevil and you are ready for some adrenaline rush, then bungee jumping is definitely for you. It involves jumping from a bridge about 110 meters high at freefall, with your feet tied to some high tensile-strength elastic rope into a gorge where your head hangs right above a flowing river. Then you are hurled up again at high speed.

(3) Visit Munda Wanga Zoo
It is situated 17 kilometers South of the town from the city center and it takes a 23 minutes bus/car ride to get there. Munda Wanga is a renowned zoo that attracts a lot of visitors daily. It is home to different species of animals kept for showcase. When you go to Munda Wanga chances are you can see any animal indigenous to Africa.

If while in Zambia you intend on visiting Livingstone which is the tourist capital, then microlight and helicopter flights are two activities you don't wanna miss. 
Enjoy the aerial view of the magnificent Victoria Falls and the gorge. This is a breathtaking experience. You can decide to view the "smoke that thunders" ( as the Victoria Falls is sometimes locally called) from either a microlight or an helicopter, either way gives the same exuberating experience.

Boat cruises are one of the prevalent leisure activities in Kafue, a town  50 km from Lusaka the capital. The Kafue River Cliff Limited is a hotel resort that offers accommodation facilities aswell as boat cruises/rides aboard the Lady Betty. While in Kafue, it's always a good idea to go fishing too.
For another boat cruise experience, the African Queen in Livingstone is their to offer just that. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Zambezi river and it's surroundings aboard the African Queen.


(9) Kasanka Bat Migration
Kasanka Bat migration is the biggest mammal migration in the world. It lasts three months and starts from October to December every year. During this time, close to ten million Eidolon helvum ( African straw-coloured fruit bats) migrate to the Mushitu swamp evergreen forest in the park. 
This is a spectacular view and an amazing site to watch. Whilst in Kasanka, there are other activities one can engage in. You can for example go animal-seeing or canoeing as Kasanka itself is a National Park too.

A trip to Zambia wouldn't be complete without attending one of the Traditional Ceremonies of the country. If you happen to be in the country during the same season as any of these ceremonies, it wouldn't be a bad idea to attend one. They portray the rich culture of the people of this country. Therefore, for one to have an insight of the way of life and culture of the indigenous local people, one simply has to make time for one or more of these ceremonies.
The prominent ones are the Kuomboka of the Lozi people, the Nc`wala of the Ngoni and the Umutomboko of the Lunda people.
